How BÖNDE was born?
Our ancestors chose materials for their kitchens that worked with nature, not against it. At some point, we lost track and started filling our kitchens with oil-based plastics and harmful compounds.
BÖNDE is here to fix that. We're bringing back products to the kitchen that are better for both people and the environment. Products that are healthy and safe, yet practical and easy to care for.

Where is BÖNDE from?
In the Nordic languages, bönde means farmer. The word takes us to the countryside. Where people who work with their hands, close to nature, even together with it.
Bönde is also a place where time moves at a different pace. People go to bönde when it's time to slow down. When thy want to relax and create new memories. Often taste memories too.
This is where BÖNDE comes from. It brings a piece of nature back to your kitchen A piece that has gradually disappeared from there over time.

Why is BÖNDE important?
Landfills and oceans are filling up with plastic waste. Our cabinets are full of disposable" convenience" products that release persistent microplastics and harmful forever chemicals (PFAS), which make their way into our food and bodies. Beyond affecting ourselves, this impacts the people around us, our children, and the environment.
We can do better. We are doing better. Sustainable shouldn't mean sacrificing quality and convenience. It should mean raising the standard.

Who is behind BÖNDE?
I'm Pete, the founder of BÖNDE, and my roots are in bönde.
I've noticed that people (myself included) want to reduce plastic in their kitchen but find using, cleaning, and maintaining alternative materials complex. BÖNDE is here to fix this.
As an experienced entrepreneur, I see problems as opportunities. I've been involved in bringing several new products and services to life, as well as driving the growth of multiple international brands. BÖNDE is a meaningful opportunity for me, and I'm building it with a big heart. I hope that shows to you as well.
