In addition to passing the tests required by FDA and EU food contact legislation, this plant-based material has passed compostability tests according to the ASTM D6400 standard, which also verify that the material has no ecotoxic effects. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that bacteria found in nature can break down the material into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass.
